A large, established corporation came to Infotrieve seeking improved library efficiency, 24/7 content access, rights management and document delivery solutions along with full-service business process outsourcing (BPO) of its internal library.
To address these needs, Infotrieve eliminated previous inefficient systems and implemented a global, full-service technology solution that provides anywhere, anytime access to content via web browser or tablet device and provides support for both global and site publisher agreements. The client streamlined internal operations by using our single-gateway content management system to ensure copyright-compliant document delivery based on rights secured through publisher agreements, reproductive rights organizations and pay-per-use document delivery.
Infotrieve implemented its content management and fulfillment technology solution, complete with end-user document delivery order processing, fulfillment, customer service and training. As with all requests for BPO, Infotrieve developed a fully customized solution to fit the needs of the client's information center that also included a usage-informed e-content licensing and procurement management plan with ongoing support for scientific literature and search and discovery tools and the viability of anticipated expenditure levels. Further, Infotrieve administered both on-site and virtual staffing, as well as hosted the client's physical library management.
Infotrieve's document delivery service improved service levels and quality and lowered external transaction fees; panic fees were eliminated due to improved turnaround time. This, combined with Infotrieve's BPO solutions, resulted in lower operating costs and improved service.
