Supporting the Evolution of the Information Center

Corporate information center professionals are often tasked with assignments that go far beyond traditional library work. A global economy combined with technology trends including social media, cloud computing and mobile devices have directly impacted the evolution of the corporate information center. As the global leader in providing business service solutions to information centers for more than 20 years, Infotrieve’s products and services have been built to support the full scope of needs for information center professionals in keeping up with the demands of both the emerging technology and the changing nature of the global workforce.

From a technology perspective, Infotrieve’s Mobile Library is content access and management software that incorporates secure social media tools to facilitate business collaboration. Since the platform operates in the cloud, it requires fewer IT resources, and serves as a tool to both empower end-users and free corporate information center leaders to focus on higher value knowledge management activities. Accessible from any browser and an iPad app, Mobile Library supports the emerging “anywhere, anytime” global workforce model.

From a service perspective, Infotrieve offers a full suite of capabilities to support the corporate information center including: staff augmentation and business process outsourcing; content management, including decision support for licensing; content access and configuration management; license administration; and content procurement subscription licensing.

Watch for our newest leadership briefing, “Technology innovations and the corporate library: Analysis of technology trends for information centre managers.” In the meantime, please contact marketing@infotrieve.com with any questions about how Infotrieve’s technology and service solutions can help your organization innovate through the better use of information.

The Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA) and Infotrieve have developed an integrated work-flow process automation for CLA licensees using Infotrieve’s Mobile Library™ e-content software. With the implementation of the CLA Title Search API (“application program interface”), Mobile Library can efficiently and seamlessly administer CLA licenses on behalf of its clients, while simultaneously helping to ensure copyright compliance. The CLA licenses permit copying from most titles published in the UK and over 30 other international territories.
