Exciting Times
line

It’s been a very busy first quarter here at Infotrieve.  A new release of the Content SCM® platform went into production in early March.  Our development team has received rave reviews for the streamlined order processing workflow and useful gadgets.  We are also in the process of preparing to take on operations of the NRC-CISTI physical library in Ottawa beginning April 1.  And even with all of this, we took the time to meet with more than a dozen industry leaders in New York last week for an in-depth Content SCM® planning session.  There are lots more good things to come and we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

NRC-CISTI Update

The NRC-CISTI and Infotrieve collaboration has reached the next phase and on April 16, CISTI’s document delivery clients outside of Canada, Australia and New Zealand will begin ordering directly from Infotrieve.

If you are a current Infotrieve client and already using Virtual Library™ 2.0, Virtual Library™ 2.0+ or Content SCM®, you may continue ordering as you do now.  For clients on Infotrieve’s other solutions, you can easily upgrade to a Virtual Library™ 2.0 account for improved functionality and faster document delivery, or continue to order exactly as  you do now.

It’s one thing to bring new solutions, new workflows and game changing technology into any professional environment… and another to make sure people know how to use it, leverage the time and cost saving efficiencies and fully realize the benefits in order to maximize return on investment.  This not only applies to information centers, but organizations as a whole.

Ongoing training and support is the essential ingredient for success for everyone involved.  It shortens the learning curve while building confidence and system knowledge, thereby increasing utilization for casual and power users alike.

To help make sure our clients are getting the most value out of Infotreive’s award-winning solutions, Infotrieve recently introduced an ongoing training and documentation package which provides tools with which clients can help ensure their end-users are making the most of their investment in Infotrieve technology.  The Customized Documentation & Training Package is available for Virtual Library™ 2.0, Virtual Library™ 2.0+ and Content SCM®.

The customized documentation allows end-users to quickly reference the exact instructions for their particular configuration of Infotrieve technology to find, order, retrieve and manage published information as well as track orders and manage their accounts.  The easy-to-access, on-demand training videos provide detailed step-by-step instructions on many product features.  Both services  provide end-user independence which frees up information services staff to focus on other business activities.
