Supplement My Staff

A mid-sized organization came to Infotrieve seeking to augment its internal library staff for a specific period of time.

To address this need, Infotrieve worked with the client to find, recruit and hire highly skilled professionals, many with a master's degree in library science or information science, who worked off-site helping to manage the library. The Infotrieve-supplied staff worked to maximize end-user service by delivering a wide range of services, including content procurement, literature search and discovery, circulation, collection management, document delivery, cataloging and indexing/alerting services. Infotrieve worked to reduce client costs by handling all aspects of employee management, including payroll, HR, recruiting and training, thus relieving the client of all administrative burdens.

With a high employee retention rate, the client benefited from continuity of operations, improved shared knowledge, reduced costs and increased end-user satisfaction. The supplemental staffing engagement was expected to last for one year; however, the client has extended the contract twice so far.
